UNLEASH THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD

The Future of Listening Hackathon is a three-day event for developers,

designers, and idea generators to explore the world of storytelling

using the all-new Audible APIs (click "APIs" for more details).

Amazon's Alexa will also be made available for teams to

use and incorporate into their projects.

You will gain exclusive access to private APIs, individualized mentorship

from Audible experts, present your apps in front of Audible CEO Don Katz,

and compete to take home the $10,000 Grand Prize.

The hackathon will be held at the Cambridge Innovation Center in

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Click the map to view more details.

Teams and individuals should register by October 26, 2016, to participate.

The application is open to the public and individuals who register will go

through a team formation process, but form a team in advance if you can!

THEMES

What new features should be added to the listening experience to make it not only more convenient but also an integral part of our lives?

Exercise & Motion

Your Idea

Our communication devices have moved from our homes to our pockets to our bodies. From glasses to watches to earpieces, it’s clear we will no longer be carrying our connecting devices— we’ll be wearing them. How does this change the listening experience for all of us?

Wearables

Portability is no longer an issue: We use our devices while traveling, exercising indoors or out, and whenever we’re on the go. How does this experience differ from sitting down and passively listening to stories and news? What new capabilities do we need to make this experience even more seamless?

We are increasingly sharing our every action with our friends, our contacts, and our network. What is the future of social listening in our new, hyper-connected world?
